Looking to the East

I know I have been jazzing about it for some time now, but as days go by I see our worlds coming closer and closer together. Simultaneously, I find that more and more of the things that matter most to me can be traced to the Asian continent.

I look across the Atlantic and see an old, tired Europe whose greatest glory lies in a time long since passed. I then turn around to look over the Pacific and see an energetic people stepping up to take reins of the world. Every time I see the sun set I cannot help but to think that, as I retire for the evening, there is another person out there just like me awaking to a newer and brighter day.

If the choice is to resist this movement, or to hop along for the ride, then you can bet I'll want to ride shotgun.
